English Service

After the part time job, I visited to church as usual. But there was no service today. Instead of it, a piano concert was hold at same place. Siegfried Tepper, the pianist, was born in Germany. Before the concert begin, he said his English is not well, but it’s not true because he speaks very fluently. During the concert is holding, he played five to six famous classic tunes. To my surprise, he told us that he had broken his left hand by an accident once. He even had thought about retirement. But now, as we saw, he came over the accident splendidly and started to living as a pianist just like before! It’s a really amusing story, isn’t it?
After the concert, the pastor announced about a English bible class which they’ll be holding as soon as they prepared. I might join to the class if I can.

Today's movie #3

“Stella”(1993)

Story:
There’s a young, beautiful lady named Stella. She was not educated so well, but everyone loves her because of her nature cheerful character. One day, Stella had noticed that she’s conceived. Steve, the baby’s father, asked her to marriage. But she said no because Stella believes that she can raise her baby by herself. Some days later, Stella gave birth to the girl who looks like her mother very well. Stella was much pleased to start a new life with her baby girl, Jenny. But the more Jenny grows up, the more Stella feels sorry because she can not give her girl a good education. As Jenny began to hang out with juvenile delinquents, Stella decided to send her away to Steve’s place. It was a painful decision for the mother who really loves her child, but it was only way to make Jenny rehabilitated.

The movie is very impressive. I was almost crying when the last scene began! I even think Bette Meddler, who played Stella, is the most able actress in the entire world.
Now I REALLY recommend this fantastic film. Yes, I mean it.

My hero

I love movies. Especially most of comedies are really matched to me. I also like comedians who always make my laughter with their funny acts. Here’s one of my favorite one:

Do you know who he is?
If you had lived in United States during 80s, you should recognize his egg-shaped face because he is a pretty famous American comedian!
The name is Chevy Chase. In America, there’s a city which has same name to him, but I believe that they have no connection anyway.
My favorite Chevy's movie is “National Lampoon’s Vacation”. It’s the funniest one I ever seen. In the movie, Chevy makes a lot of mistakes, and the mistakes make him very misery. But in fact, he never seemed as a stupid man at all. He is just a father who is trying to make their family trip successfully. He’s almost cool rather misery. And that’s why I like that movie.
Now I'll leave the trailer of it. It's a pretty old movie, so maybe you can't find a video at TSUTAYA. But if you really want to watch, I'll borrow you the DVD!:)

"Oliver Twist"
Written by Charles Dickens

The boy, who named Oliver Twist has never seen his families at all. Since he can remember, he was grown with other children with a minimum foods and ragged cloths in an old orphan home. One cold day, Oliver's companies suggested him to ask some more soup. As Oliver did it, the master, who runs the orphan home got very mad and decided to send him away to an undertaker's house. The undertaker was treating Oliver very friendly, but the wife disliked him. She didn't give Oliver a good place to sleep, and even hit him hardly sometimes. Oliver, the poor boy, was pessimistic about his life at the time. Some days later, Oliver had started to thinking about get away from the undertaker’s house. Soon, he had run to London to find a new, better life.
I read this novel because it is a famous one. It is kind of masterpiece. There are also some movies which based on this story. The newest one was made in last year. It was filmed by Roman Polanski who had filmed “The Pianist” also. Polanski is one of greatest director ever, but his own life is pretty hard one as Oliver. About forty years ago, his wife was killed by Charles Manson at home. Sharon Tate, the wife, was pregnant. That means Polanski lost his only child too. And ten years later, Polanski was arrested because of his illegal sexual intercourse. According to police’s announcement, Polanski was in bed with a minor aged girl at Jack Nicholson’s house. Soon he escaped from America to avoid the imprisonment and never comes back again.
If you are interested in Roman Polanski and his works, you should check the movie trailers first. Here’s one which I've found for you:

Lack of sleeping does more harm than good.

Today, I didn’t sleep very well because I forgot to shut the certain down. When I wake up this morning, my room was full of sunshine which was hindering me from sleeping. I could recognize the dazzlingly light even I make my eyes closed. Therefore I’m still crying out for sleep now.
Due to the rain, I couldn’t attend to the English service today. Next week I will.
