Book review 1-2

The Doll's House
Written by Katherine Mansfield

The story is about a young wife who thinks her life is a perfect one until she finds out her husband's affair. There are not many characters in this novel, but all of them have a really unique personality. The story-line is very simple so I could understand smoothly. There are also some other short stories, but I skipped them because I didn’t have enough time to read.

The author is Katherine Mansfield. She is a one of greatest New Zealander woman novelists. Mrs. Mansfield died so young, but she had left many masterpieces to us. She was good at psychological description and used to write stories which about trouble between families, lovers, and friends. In Fukushima prefecture, Japan, there is a memorial hall called “キャサリン・マンスフィールド記念館”. The hall was build by a Japanese writer who adores her and her novels. If you gain a chance to visit Fukushima, it’s good to be there.

A new phone !

Today is a good day. I brought a new portable phone which contains “ワンセグ放送(One segment broadcasting)” function. This is not a new model, so I could buy it very cheaply (about two-thousand and half yen). And now, I am checking the channels which I supposed to receive by using this phone. I hope that it could show me all of channels but it doesn’t work well yet. Additionally, It also doesn’t catch any digital radio’s channel. Maybe I should read the manual at first to solve the problems.
